MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
TO JOIN THE FLEET.
All drivers must meet the following minimum qualifications in accordance with FMCSA regulations and JTA Trucking's hiring standards before an application can be considered.
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable CDL driving experience
- No Automatic Transmission Restriction on CDL
- Clean MVR — no more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years
- No DUI/DWI convictions within the past 5 years
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Valid DOT medical certificate (or ability to obtain one)
- Ability to pass DOT pre-employment drug screening
- No at-fault accidents resulting in fatalities within the past 5 years
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Willingness to submit to background check per 49 CFR Part 391
- CDL revoked or suspended within the past 3 years
- Positive drug/alcohol test with no return-to-duty documentation
- Felony conviction involving a motor vehicle
- More than 2 preventable accidents in the past 3 years
